throw it away, forget yesterday, we'll make the great escape.

I AM SWAMPED IN HOMEWORK! And it's only the first week of school... I definitely won't have much of a life this semester, and if I fail to update every two-three days, this would most likely be why...

Winter X Games action is HOT! My poor laptop has been on for so long every day, so I can watch online. Torah Bright just captured Womens' Superpipe Gold for Australia. Her run was superb and she grabbed a score of 91.33. The McTwist was a great surprise and addition to her run. It looked a lot like Shaun's or Kevin's. I think her run was one of the best runs ever completed by a female snowboarder. USA's Kelly Clark placed 2nd and Hanna Teter, the 2006 Olympic Gold Medallist placed 3rd.

Levi LaVallee did his double backflip, but doesn't he need to stay on the snowmobile for it to count? It's kind of sad really, but hey! It was a great attempt! And he technically did it. I still think Travis Pastrana's original double back flip at Summer X 12 was much more...magical.

So here's a slight surprise: Shaun White did NOT qualify first in Mens Slopestyle. In fact, he qualified last, barely making the cut with a score of 67.66. Chas Guldemond is the man up top with a score of 78. However, all of the runs lacked a bit, due to the blizzard that took over Buttermilk Mountain up in Aspen. Weather conditions can definitely drop scores significantly. However, the whole Chas up top is vaguely familiar of the 2006 Burton US Open slopestyle competition, when the same thing happend, except Shaun actually ended up winning that time. We'll see how it unravels later today!

Over in Cleveland, Ohio for the 2009 US Championships, an incredible surprise for the Mens' Short Program with Jeremy Abbot taking the lead. Evan Lysacek, the reigning two time gold medallist is in second. Where is my favorite, Johnny Weir? He's all the way down in 7th. What a disappointment.

However, over in the Championship Ladies' events, one of my favorite skaters, Alissa Czisny is in the lead! I'm so ecstatic about this. She is such a fluid skater, very long lines, graceful, elegant, sophiscated with marvelous spins and great jumps, just always struggled with consistency. Alissa has proved her place amongst all the youngsters by placing first with a nice lead of almost 5 whole points, which is big in the IJS judging system. I've seen Alissa skate live twice, granted they were both on a tiny rink with a huge Christmas Tree taking over 50% of the ice, but each time she was absolutely breathtaking. With her classical grace, and exquisite beauty, Alissa just may be poised to take the crown and top honors at this year's Championships.

Beauty Time: Blush is really really in this season and for the past half year I've been addicted to it. I'll skip foundation, powder, even mascara and eyeliner, but never blush. Just a little bit can add a lot of color to your face and make you look awake and alert instantly. In addition, it will always give you that wondrous radiant glow. Peachy shades are hot right now. If you want to go really instyle for blushes try MAC's Peachtwist (a golden tawny peach color with light shimmer), bareMineral's Joyous Jennifer (copper rose), or Stila's Gerbera (a pure peachy orange with a hint of pink). But, since brand name cosmetics run pretty pricey, if you want a great classic that will never go out of style, head for NARS Orgasm. The absolute perfect shade of blush. It's a peachy pink with shimmer. It's got the flawless mix of orange and pink with golden shimmer to work on every complexion. A favorite everywhere, this blush is practically famous!

ahh the famous nars blush, ive heard SO much about it. you said it wasn't a brandname, aren't they about like 42$ for a blush or something like that ? ahaa i have no idea [x i agree that blush really does light up someone's face, but my face is always BRIGHT red so putting on a fake blush would just make me look like a complete clown, haha :]
